I learned stories the old way. Before air conditioning in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, at the end of a hot summer day, we sat on the porch to tell stories and drink ice tea while we waited for the house to cool down.

I've been tellling stories ever since. I tell mostly traditional folklore and historical tales. I enjoy finding new material in old sources, from local memories to 17th century diaries. I have developed stories from classic literature, from Homer to Edgar Allan Poe. I tell stories from King George and other strange lands, and can round out a performance with stories from every continent and century.
