President's Letter
Sun, 30 Nov 2003
Happy Holidays VASA members; as you are preparing your list for next year's resolutions, why not include joining other lovers of the storytelling art at the grand 2004 Gathering in Harrisonburg Virginia? We have spent several months cooking up a special program for you and have focused on creating a wonderful weekend you will remember for some time to come. Elsewhere in this message you will find all the particulars you need to mark the calendar. Treat yourself in 2004 to the great cameraderie of listening, breaking bread, learning, and swapping stories that we are committed to provide.
Also, you performing tellers - do not forget the auditions for the "Emerging Tellers" we are co-sponsoring at the 2004 LAUGHS Festival end December 15, 2003. Go to the http://vasa.communitypoint.org and look at events to get info on submitting.

Our 2004 flagship hotel is the Washington Dulles Airport Marriott. 703.318.6362.
Also for all tellers: the VASA website has been running for some time now and we plan to begin listing events all over the state. You can email Glenn Holliday, our revered webmaster, at holliday@acm.org and have your contact info listed on the site for free as a VASA member (by contact info we mean your name, stage name if different, phone, address, email address, and website link if you have one).
IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO HAVE THE DELUXE LISTING, (which includes your picture and a full description of the programs you offer, former clients, philosophy, and just about anything else you would want a prospective client viewing this info to have) then email Glenn with a JPEG picture to post and the text you want included - put the text in the body of the message rather than in a separate Word file please - This special listing will cost you $25 a year and may be updated in general once during the year (if you change address or phone , etc. that can be handled anytime). You should send your check for $25 to Donna Will, who will let Glenn know to proceed with the posting. This is a very inexpensive way to have a web presence you can point people to and use on your business card for example. Donna's email is dwill@gc.k12.va.us
Best wishes for the holidays!
